I finally got around to finding Kenneth Baum’s book Metabolize: The Personalized Program for Weight Loss. This program recognizes that there are several broad groups of body types with associated nutrient needs.
I took the quiz and here are the results.
Super-lean : 1
Lean : 12
Mixed : 10
Clean : 2
Super-clean : 0
Based on that, the appropriated percentage of calories daily should come from the basic nutrient groups as follows
Carbohydrates 50-60%
Protein 20-25%
Fat 20-25%
For whatever reason, the author seems to make the percentage of Fat and Protein the same, and Carbohydrates, whatever is left. Personally, I prefer a somewhat lower percentage fat than protein, but this does not materially change the program.
